NHS West and North London launches on 1 April 2026
The new West and North London Integrated Care Board, known as NHS West and North London, will launch on 1 April 2026. This brings NHS planning and decision‑making across West and North London into one organisation.
The ICB is responsible for planning and buying NHS services for local people. We work closely with hospitals, GP practices, councils, community and voluntary groups, and residents. Our aim is to make sure services meet local needs, improve health outcomes, and reduce health inequalities.
Previously, these responsibilities sat with North West London ICB and North Central London ICB. By coming together, the new organisation will strengthen joint working and make the best use of NHS resources across 13 London boroughs. This includes supporting prevention, improving access to services, and making sure public money is used where it is needed most.
As part of this work, the NHS remains fully committed to supporting the bereaved, survivors, and the wider North Kensington community affected by the Grenfell tragedy. Dedicated and specialist mental and physical health and wellbeing support continues to be in place, and we will keep working closely with local partners and the community to ensure these services remain strong and responsive.
To ensure continuity, Jennifer Roye, Chief Nurse and current executive-level Senior Responsible Officer, will continue to lead the response.
The launch of NHS West and North London marks the start of a new chapter for NHS leadership in the area. Over the coming months we will continue to listen to residents, work with partners, and shape our priorities so services reflect the needs and experiences of the people who live and work here.
